BPI Building Science Principles

BPI Building Science Principles Training Course

Building Performance Institute (BPI) has introduced a Building Science Certificate program for people that wish to learn more about Building Science, but don’t need to be certified Energy Auditors.

This class lays a foundation of understanding for the building trades, Vo-tech student, or adult student at any level. It could also benefit Home Inspectors, Real Estate Agents or Appraisers, government Officials, and Supervisory or support personal in existing weatherization programs. No field experience is required for this program, and no field test is required.

This material is presented in the classroom and includes BPI’s 200 page Building Science Principles book ($119.00 value). The class concludes with a 2 hour on-line exam ($99.00 value) If the student successfully passes the open book test, BPI will award the participant with a Building Science Principles® Certificate of Knowledge, and 6 BPI CEU’s. (This is not an equivalent to BPI certification.)

Class will be taught live by Rhett Major, The Energy Doctor, a local expert with over 29 years of experience in Building Science, Energy Efficiency, and the building trades. He holds Certifications from BPI, RESNET, USGBC, PHIUS, and The InfraRed Training Institute. He has been training extensively since 2009, and brings real world experience to the subjects he teaches.
